OT: Anyone familiar with FONR? Seems like they may be finally getting their act together. I've been seriously following them ever since this guy Sol Ginzburg became part of the crew. I've traded the company a couple of times before then, but took special interest recently and "invested" at 2 11/16. May be a good speculative buy. Read their history. The potential is there.

Slider - OXY. Yes, the article is linked to Yahoo, plus you had posted it once before. That's where I read about the $35 target.

Because OXY develops mature fields vs trying to expand thru the drill bit the only real risk is commodity pricing imho. It's not like they're trying to make or brake the company based upon big finds. Being a 6 billion dollar company makes it another risk-less play and a sure bet to get lots fund money once the sector becomes a must own for the mutual funds.

However I also love this comment that you posted.

>> I am loaded already here. I liked the new acquisition & Fadel Gheit says P UCL and OXY all have less than 12 mos survival time as independent companies - all three get bought and soon; especially after the Arco deal gets settled. <<

In addition to the merger angle Fadel Gheit also likes OEI.

Lastly as I stated before OXY is still very close to it's recent lows making it yet again...a risk free play in which to buy in-the-money options.
