And, of course, I haven't been able to access my schwab account for most of today.

Ummm, can you elaborate. Today the web (surprise!) was up I think all day. Are you saying because you started to move assets they denied you access? Or because you dared to challenge them they denied you access? This has me worried. I'm moving assets piecemeal (sell position, write check, re-open position at Fido) and so far no problem but my paranoid side (or maybe not, may be realistic) wonders about Schwab getting vindictive.

Jorj,

I just went thru the last 30 or posts and I know your pain. I have had my battles with them a number of times. I was also fed up last year and finally asked to ACAD or DTC (can't remember)some positions to begin trying others brokers. At the time, I could buy shares without any cash (on margin) and then I could any stock including the one I bought, 3 days later to cover margin reqts. Well as soon as they heard I wanted to transfer shares out to someone else they started to make my life miserable. All of a sudden what I was doing for months (above) was now frowned upon and the put me on CASH only status for 90 days. A month later I got a letter in the mail saying I no longer qualified as a Platinum Sig because my balance went below $50k. And if I didn't raise additional cash they would ut me back with the other lowly dirtbag customers. True aholes. I even had the pleasure of talking to a new Team Manager who couldn't see the need to keep a client happy who had been with them for over 20 yrs. They didn't want to hear it. Total idiots. Needless to say I'm still there as Etrade proved to be worse. Poor/slow executions.

Good luck to you a Fidelity.

Regards,
bazan
