It's Fri. eve and time for a review of my first pilgrimage to SD.
I wasn't completely sure what I was getting into when I left. I have been a true QHEAD, but this group was awesome. Everybody was treated like family. You'll see from the tape, but the mix was incredible. Where else could people from all over the world gather almost as long lost friends and really enjoy each other's company ?
Thanks to all for allowing me to join in.

Respectfully,

Tony Strickland

PS I am still glowing since Merlin sat next to me at the SH meeting. <G>

Chill out people....

Thanks for coming to my defense, Ed, but I know the needle you responded to was in fun. Most people who post here treat me very well, and I can handle with humor the few who come after me.

There are a couple of lurkers who, I think just don't "get it" when it comes to this thread, and post, now and then, with a little malice. They are very few, and they don't bother me.
I lay myself open to getting nailed when I tell people here, real time, what I am doing.

BTW, Edy called me today to say thanks. She is on her way back to Boston tomorrow. She managed to open an account at Schwabs, and put her, and her mothers money, in QQQ. It was a real victory for her. The "Full Service" Broker, Smith Barney, that she was using, treated her like a ditz. She plans to get involved with us on line as soon as her PHD is finished this spring.

She was impressed beyond words with our group in San Diego. She had never known that such a group of "really nice people" could find each other as we have. She found the level of conversation to be above most Harvard gatherings she goes to. You have another convert, Mike.

Ed

It was a jeu de mots..you know...a gentle play on words for fun. There is no need for starchy reproofs, reprimands or impuning motives that are offensive.
Lindybill knows that I have the highest regard for him and have learned - and continue to learn - from him. Indeed, my investments were a disaster before meeting up with him and many others on this thread - and I have never tried to hide that fact.
So please, chill out yourself and reserve your judgements until you know what you are talking about. Anna
