LOFL one good pick and now he's joining the ranks of the hoi poloi. Mike, salary isn't what makes one a millionaire, its what you do with it. Read Millionaire Next Door and Millionaire down the Block(?) for two perspectives of this. Most of "them" end up plowing it into bidding up housing which is why housing costs in Seattle have leaped and nobody can even think about affording to live in Silicon Valley. I thought your gains were in the IRA so tax shouldn't be a problem unless you go raiding, and even then its only on the withdrawals. I kind of like the idea of a 10% penalty. Daytraders can make that up in a day, and the tax portion in a couple of days. Good days mind you. MY IRA was actually up for the week thanks to a Canadian biotech and a web stock that made up for the pasting elsewhere. Heh heh. RWR
