I think the war scenario (or terrorist attacks on US soil?) is probably the most likely. But I think you give Alan Greenspan more credit than he is due for the irrational exuberance in this market. The market has taken on a life of its own, and I believe that his death or resignation may cause a correction and/or gradual downturn but not a crash.

You forgot: 4. Everyone is fully invested - no more money to put into the market. The most likely scenario.

I do not, however, discount the possibility that this bull market will continue (with corrections, of course) until the Baby Boom retires.
