I disagree. IMHO CMGI went down because of the "sell on the news" phenomenon. Some investors feared there would be little to propel the stock price in the very near term -- and let's face it -- CMGI often takes a hit after earnings are announced. That sent many weaker hands packing. General market skittishness obviously is also a factor. That said, the forward-looking statements by CMGI management were quite remarkable. More positive than most were expecting. Growth beating 100% per year is -- well -- amazing. I suspect that CMGI will be continuing its assent shortly. Reaching new highs and then some. But it still may continue downward in the very near term...until the more fearful sellers are done their selling. That'll probably lead to a very nice late March, early April pre-Alta Vista IPO run.
