Fears of 3com doing stock deals before the distribution date are irrational. Sorry to be so blunt, but it just aint gonna happen! 1) No company is going to take 3com paper that will have its value cut in half or more by the time the deal is closed. 2) Shareholders of 3com would never approve of a deal that was significantly dilutive prior to the Palm distribution. 3) EB and the board, despite appearances to the contrary on occasion, have a vested interest in seeing the Palm shares spun out to 3com shareholders as quickly and undilutedly as possible. They never would have gone through with the spin out if they had not been trying to unlock the Palm value for themselves and other 3com shareholders.

I don't mind paranoia, but this is one area that does not deserve it. Folks, lets move on to some topics that really do merit our attention; such as, what do we think the value of Palm will be post-spinout?

Souse, The! Use Coms stock while the price is high to acquire. Why wait for coms to go down to buy and pay more.
