sat phone works wonders in the Mountains I'll reiterate my question : what proportion of the worlds population is "in the mountains", or "in the high seas" etc. way i look at it, sat phone at this point in time is probably in the "want" category, not "need" category. at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the worlds population is China+India. fact of life : they can not afford the costs involved in buying this technology as retail consumers. there are cheaper alternatives, that are "good enough" for them. that IMHO is a barrier to crossing the chasm. cheers, kumar
