GTW and DELL benefitted from the exit of rival PC sellers more than anything else. As I recall, GTW had negative comps on operating cash flow.

Since productivity is measured as per capita GDP per unit labor, your example is incorrect. With 4 % unemployment, there's no evidence that unproductive labor is being weeded out.

BGR,

Putting aside all productivity, inflation, and other statistical adjustments, do you believe the "dollar amount" of GDP is as important a thing to know as all the chain weighted and adjusted numbers? (assuming the govt is even close on the dollar amounts)
