Give me a break. So there is instability in Russia. What are they going to do.. Nuke us? >>>

Not what I meant et all..Ron you are smart fellow, you know history...You know that Russia is poised to return to cold war, which is part of the problem, bigger problem that any civil conflict reminiscent of 1917 in Russia, would be so destabilising that any hypothetical savings on security would just pale in comparison....

As for fuel...there would be sch a tremendous oil shortage in years to come....that altenative fuel to supplement oil/gas is not avoidable no matter what OPEC does....that is about 10-20 years away...but not avoidable...

China's long-term level of oil imports will outstrip
by three times the country's own forecast, the International Energy
Agency said Monday.

The figures suggest that China will become a far more influential player in the global oil market and in
the oil-rich Middle East, the agency said.
