Rambus will gladly accept a 10% market share of all pople that use computers until the price of RDRAM stabilizes at a lower level.

That is certainly true. However same goes for anything more powerful than a celeron but plenty of P3's get sold. The price of RDRAM is only so high because of the number of buyers chasing the current level of supply. If the buyers weren't there, the prices would be lower and the manufacturers would still produce.
