The Toronto stock exchange has not been accepting stop or limit orders for the past few days. Online trades take 1-3 hours to execute. No choice but to take a defensive position.

This has been a pretty fascinating week. I got out of the market last week, because the risk seemed to high. I don't see the resiliance of the BTDs that were the earlier this year.

I've wandered around a number of threads and the most amazing thing to me is that no one seems to even care much about the market "dips". The value investors believe they are immune from any major market correction. No one seems to know about the margin records that are being set.

Without daytime brokerage access, I can see the panic isn't going to set till after hours, when they start connecting to their accounts and put in market sells for the open.

But heck, Asian markets are holding up better than I thought they would. Reminds me of something I noticed earlier...US markets didn't start to head down until Europe closed.
