lots of NDX puts were bought...or rather sold, today (oi went up big). so they will try to keep the NDX up through expiration.
afterwards it's open season i guess.
the spoos on Globex have recovered all their initial losses. not much follow-through selling in Asia.
not to forget we get the cooked BLS stats this week.

Gap down is the LAST thing we want to see tomorrow. The best possible scenario is a last gasp sucker's rally of around 50 naz points and 70 dow points in the first hour.

THEN the bottom can fall out.

If we gap down at the open, the buyers will be out in force, unless it is so steep as to cause forced margin selling. I'm also wary of the PPT. They aren't a myth- the fed has often ruminated about the possible need for such action in the case of financial crisis.

a lot of people are bearish...they can't all be right...especially some of my goofy poorly informed colleagues who have been very bullish.
