Bensonhurst once upon a time, but The Ridge today. I keep moving west. My next home will be a houseboat in the Narrows, moored to the Brooklyn Side of the Verazzano.

And indeed, it was so clear tonight, like you said. How clear was it? I turned off Exit 1 on The Belt Parkway by the Brooklyn Army Terminal, and I could swear that Lady Liberty was staring me down and flirting with me across the puddle... it was so clear looking at the Twins that I got lost in surreality. You had to be there.

Here's the raging bull in front of my office building where I waited for you for about a half hour. You didn't show. Immediately to the left of the bull is 26 Broadway, one time home to Western Union International, and now housing Quick and Reilly. Keep this address mind for a moment.

Here's another photo of the same raging bull which I had promised myself that I wouldn't show here, but what the heck:

You can see my building on the right, to the rear of the bull. It's the one behind the scaffolding. You can't see it, but the scaffolding goes up to the second story, just beyond the FedEx truck. The scaffolds have been blocking daylight on the Broadway side for the first two stories for about a month, while some repairs are being made to the facade to the satisfaction of the landmarks preservation crowd uptown... you know those folks, the ones who never go to work. They just play god, while protecting the tombs that were built by our ancestors.

No, that's not me playing with the bull's horns. That's one of the tenants from my building whose office is on the Second Floor who has just about lost his mind by now. Why is he losing his mind? I'll tell you why. It's because his Gigabit Ethernet link to his field office across the street at 26 Broadway has been down for the past month. This fiasco he is now going through began about a week after he had his Bell Atlantic T3 line disconnected, and now they are telling him it will take ninety days to get it reinstated.
