I'm not really concerned about personal attacks, but yes you're right. It is a risk transferring options. But at the time of the transfer there were still four months left before the expiration so I figured, rather naively in hindsight, that the transfer would take place far before that time.

I still can't figure out why they would consistently claim to have possession of them if they didn't.

No intentions to attack anyone, not even you.
Critisism about the service is no doubt VALID.
It is sad that in 2000 we have such service, but is there a better alternative?
TDwaterhouse certainly is not.
Best is to have 2 accounts at 2 different brokers, so you are a little protected if one is down.

I am greatfull that I was, and still am, very long in EGRP.
My gain today is not much, but if I had made another choice I would have been clobbered.
I was very bullish on EGRP, and glad I was, at least I am UP instead of down.
