VSNL Chairman comments on subscriber growth and constraints VSNL chairman and managing director S.K. Gupta said while the firm was adding about 10,000 new Internet subscribers every month its growth was constrained because VSNL is allowed to offer the service only in six major cities in the country and not other places. "We have made a request to the telecom commission that we should be permitted to operate preferably on an all-India basis or at least at those places where we have our gateway switches and earth stations to make efficient use of our investments," Gupta said.
