Hard to follow that. But the fact remains that they have
1/150th the sales of FORD and twice the market cap. Ford has
more profits in a quarter than JDSU has sales in a year. Lets face it, competition is coming in the form of Corning,
Nortel and dozens of startups. Love the company, they are in the right place at the right time. I have sold 80% of our holding in the past 2 weeks because the valuation is getting
silly. The company is not an Intel or a Microsoft. Its products don't get replaced every 6 months by consumers.

Can u believe that? I'll say it again: that was last quarter! 1 quarter! How could they not do a retraction?!

It gets more incredible to use Jdsu as an example when you project forward, and NO ONE with any sense is questioning the companies statements that they expect 100% compounding growth for the next 4 years. This is NO misrepresentation; I was there at a conference where they presented. They are confident because the 100% is a joke. With acquisitions they are going to absolutely smoke 100%. It's an almost sure thing that they have a 3 billion quarter in 4 years. If I run the numbers, I get a 1.25 quarter on those revenues. So they hit a 5.00 e pace in 4 years. At a pe of 100, JDSU would sell at 500 that year, 4x higher than this am. Is PG going to sell 4x higher in 4 years? And I am collapsing Jdsu's pe by 75%, and not compounding at 100%.

So let's all go buy PG because of Joe, ok?

It's not that he didn't have a valid point, but it is really dumb...REALLY DUMB to use the company with an absolute choke hold on the worlds fiber optic component market, a highly profitable company with no debt, as an example of overvaluation.
