So whatever happened to that australian clown who predicted that today was going to be the big kahuna?

Can he get an award for being the most timely WRONG possible?

He got the "big" part right, at least..

Heinz,

Perhaps some context is needed. Time and again certain notables felt that human progress has reached an end. As the rumors go (and I cannot vouch for their accuracy): the statement about the world market for computers was by an systems chief in the '50's who felt that at most two computers may be sold worldwide; the memory issue was raised by a certain well-known visionary software executive in the 80's, and it was the head of the US patent office in the late 19th century who (so it is rumored) wanted to put his department out of work. Hindsight shows that all such pessimists were 100% wrong when it came to gauging future human progress.

Just as I feel you are going to be.

I think that the main difference between our point of views remain that you look primarily at bull and bear markets and four digit OTC symbols, and I look primarily at companies and the technology they employ. Perhaps this is because you seem to trade for a living, whereas I get paid to innovate.
