Steve, I can do the chart easily in Qcharts,
but I don't know where to post it.

Here are some numbers using the split adjusted ratio
ETEK/JDSU:

Date Value
1/18 1.93
1/21 1.96
1/31 1.74
2/7 1.85
2/10 2.01
2/15 1.93
2/24 2.02
3/2 2.12
3/7 2.06
3/14 2.08
3/16 1.92

I've tried to catch most of the peaks
and valleys.

As you can see we're back about where we started.

John

That's a piece of cake in MetaStock.

white-crane.com

This is a graph of 2.2*JDSU/ETEK from 1/18/00 to present. A value of 1.10 means that you get a 10% premium buying ETEK.

It's easy to see that the premium dropped from the 20% range to a low of 4%. But in the last three days, it has climbed back to 19%.

My feeling is that this is due to the market sell-off which occurred over those same three days. Maybe the Arbs did not want to short JDSU.
