Petz,

This does not surprise me......in spite of Willamette, I have not thought that Intel was done with its misfires. With analysts and certain journalists pumping the stock all the time, its hard to believe that problems exist with the company. But its my view nothing has changed and not only do problems exist but apparently they run deep.

And its not just in the making of chips either....the Danes are still having a field day over Intel's overpaying for the Danish firm, Giga.

Petz and the thread:

Has anyone been following the hard disk drive makers.....talk about trashed stocks. A couple of them, HDD and MXTR, are just now breaking into profitability after years of losses. Frankly they are at the same position the semis were about a year ago.

Any thoughts about buying....I think of taking a small position in HDD (spinoff from Quantum) and seeing how it runs.
