Hi Kirk: What impact will the QQQ split have on the NAZ next week ........

Alert From SCHWAB:

Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) is going through a 2 for 1 stock split effective Monday March 20, 2000.
(Additional shares will be reflected in your account Tuesday March 21,2000.)

==========================================================

It should have no impact but if it trades like other stocks that post a split.....well up up & away!

Maybe it will be common place to see PEG ratios of 2 and 3 especially if double digit growth can be sustained over the next five years. Notice I no longer use PE as a measure for these new economy stocks but rather the PEG ratio (Price Earnings Growth).

EKS

Kirk: Let's see. I see a close of $146 7/8 for December 31st and a close yesterday of $146 5/8. No new closing high. No dividends count in this analysis as you know. Maybe you should deduct the management fee for the SPYs against the dividend?

Do I think Brinker thought we would get another test so close to the old high? Probably not. Could we get a new high? I cannot deny that a possibility. Brinker sees the upside as 5% above the old high. But a new high did not happen yet and so you will have to wait.

But look, you will have your chance to crow about Brinker being wrong in due time if things work out the way you seem to hope. And we all know that you relish that opportunity and will take full advantage of any such lapse. But your timing is off.

Back in your chair for a new contestant."

I don't get it.
