While I am on the subject.....I have a question.
When the NASD calls me and asked why I "spoofed" a stock....
what's to stop me from saying......Huh?? What do you mean?? I just changed my mind. Things happen fast in this market Mary....ya gotta make quick decisions.

What will be monitored and hopefully illegal is when you post and then pull a large sell order and immediately buy the stock (or vice versa). This is clearly manipulation and deceit and is more than simply changing your mind. I hope they put people in the big house for this type of behavior because that's where people who deceive others to make a living belong.

best...

If only I'd held: It is a game. And spoofing is part of it and there is nothing wrong with it as far as I am concerned

You sound like the petty criminal that gets caught and says hey, I only stole a thousand dollars from that little ole lady...the police should be going after the murderers.

While I agree there are bigger fish in the pound, all crooks should be dealt with. If you are "spoofing" I hope the SEC does give you a call and provides you with a set of matching bracelets connected by a chain.

If the SEC is monitoring this thread, be sure and check this guy out!

Following your thought .it is flawed in the sense that Noone who really wants to buy 10-100,000 shares advertises the whole thing. If a market makers does it he is charged with placing Non bonafide orders up..If the public does it its calle " spoofing" What a bizarreworld it is ..indeed.

Its a form of manipulation pure and simple , I try to hit those orders all the time, Its great to see the reaction, when their bluff is called ...
