An irony of this campaign is how the mistake of the father is reincarnated in an uncanny way with the son. Few will deny that the worst judgement call George Bush, Sr. ever made was choosing Dan Quayle. The most laughable thing he ever said was that Quayle was "the best man for the job". Now, the Republican poobahs are, in a curious twist of fate, left in the same position Bush pere had to defend: he's the best man for the job, really! We have no regrets, really! I admit that W. is no Dan Quayle, not really, but the irony....
