What exactly would you call cutting edge? All available technology at the current bandwidths is old. Shockwave is at least better than plain html and it is fairly well done. There are a lot of very poorly done shockwave sites out there. As far as image is concerned, it's a lot better than the hoards of garbage that I've seen out there.
