Disagree with premise of article. There are no poor people in the USA. One has only to travel to Indonesia,Russia,etc. to realize this. Notice when they show all these "poor" people,how overweight they are. You will not see that outside USA.

Electorate is being sensitized for the upcoming election. If you still feel "guilty"; give to a foreign charity, where there is real need.
