Dear lewis, This post is so much from the Lord. We were talking about warfare and the armor of God at our Congregation. The one that really jumped out at me was the helmet of salvation. In Psalm 43 David is struggling with depression; 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God: for I shall praise him who is the health of my countenance, and my God Hope in God (trust) is the cure for depression and is the lifter of our soul. Then I read 1 Thess. 5 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love: and for a helmet, the hope of salvation Thank God for the hope of Jesus and the salvation He has provided.
