More info on Intel. This is from the Covad thread.

<<*** DSL in the News: Intel Develops New High-Speed DSL Hardware ***

Intel is streaming into the DSL market with a high-speed digital modem
geared toward small business and consumer markets. The PRO/DSL 3100 supports
both full-rate ADSL and G.Lite protocols. The modem uses a chip set from
GlobeSpan of Red Bank, New Jersey, and represents Intel's entry into the
booming broadband market.

Later this year, Intel is expected to introduce its own DSL chip -- a move
that will put it in the up-and-coming communications integrated circuit
market. Intel's DSL modem will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2000
and has a suggested retail price of $295. >>

Sounds like Intel won't be using Aware's technology until later this year.
