Politics is not the best topic for discussion, but I think there is this huge center that neither the Republicans or Democrats can get in full because of the makeup of their coalitions.

I think the vast majority of people are fiscal conservatives and social moderates. I like to call them moderate Libertarians. I think that's the group Jessie tapped. If I'm correct, then you just have to wonder what an experienced, highly educated and charismatic person could do in an election via a 3rd party.

The Libertarians themselves are too extreme for many on issues like pollution, gun control, and others.

The Reform party looks more like a group of people that were unhappy with the establishment but are all over the place on the issues. I can't see that working either.

The potential for real reform is there, but I think things might have to get worse before they can get better. People have to really want to throw the bums out.
