Scumbria, isn't that my whole point. How does management absolve themselves of this mess. By claiming demand is excessive. Have you heard any production reports telling of any figures on numbers shipped? How do you make money? Create a shortage? Does Intel have the ability to create a shortage? Absolutely. If it means saving their jobs and pissing off customers such as GTW. WHYNOT? When Willy comes out, Intel can get customers back. Meantime Intel admits to nothing.

hmly,

Think about it.....your supposition makes little sense. Intel already had the market share so what would be the point in creating a shortage? With AMD's competition, it won't mean higher prices for their chips. All they have managed to do is p*ss people off.

BTW I am ted the one who talks about stock charts and mismanagement. Scumbria is the one who talks about long pipelines and double caches.

I think this thread needs to develop a sign in sheet and a welcome wagon....too many new people and all Engel manages to do is rattle all the new posters!! JMHO. :~((
