her in Germany we have queer situation. The DSL-techniques are today (for the same Monies) faster than widely used ISDN. I internet on Fibre. I could use 60 Channels = 3.84 MB/Secont, but would have to pay 60 Channels, Ouch!

DSL is slower but cheaper - obviously only on Copperwire available.

So on both ISDN as on GSM (cellular Worldstandard) the real good high throughput Switches or Routers miss. I know GSM works on it. How widespread ISDN does, i know not.

Fixed Wireless is still too expensive for the Homeuser, though available for Businessusers.

Lately some Utilities started Trials with Powerlinetechniques.
