Hi Keith, Heck,

"I'm the son-of-a-son-of-a-sailor....."

The first and only cruise I ever did was on the WindStar. I'll tell you, that was one fine trip. Jane and I did the West Indies on this superhightech Sailer. Hydraulic ballast, computer controlled sail angle and area, MotorSailer power shared via computer control by sails and diesels. I believe the sail area was 40,000 Sq Ft. It only had a 16 Ft draft, so we could go places that were usually only enjoyed by small, private craft. Every day we lunched on an abandoned beach or small harbor town someplace in the Caribbean. Every day there was swimming, snorkling, scuba, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, beach and sunning, and every night there was great food, plenty to drink and a bunch of gorgeous islands to watch slip past. Most sailing was done at night.

WindStar also has sailing ships in the Mediterranean and I believe the South Pacific. It's been quite a while since we took our trip, but I'd go again - even if there weren't any AIMers on board!

Here's their site:

"Mother, Mother Ocean
I have heard your call.
Wanted to sail upon your waters
since I was three feet tall.
You've seen it all,
You've seen it all...."

Best regards,
the Son of the Beach
