Junichiro Yamada made an offering to Son to consolidate MAC. Y's solution was better than PW, EY, KPMG but Son still had to pay tons in taxes. Unlike the US, taxpaying in Japan is a negotiation: the auditor visits your office, and on marginal grey area issues says: you can deduct either but not both. Unthinkable in the dry US.

Son may have listed ZD at book for reasons we don't know of. Where we ARE going is of more importance to me.

Son is the internet visionary. Don't worry about the short-term stock prices or potential changes in the Investment Holding Act of 1946.

Bill Gross was speaker at a conference I attended here in LA today. Brilliant man. 'No comment' to a question on SEC filing issues, though.
