Yeah, Washington is a prime example of the insanity of the car culture. The trip your wife makes could be a nicer one and more convenient if the infrastucture started moving in the opposite direction it has been over the past fifty years since Eisenhower built the interstate highway system. actually it started even before that. In part, the very way towns and cities are structured is driven by the tyranny of the car culture. All I'm saying is that a happier balance could be achieved--I don't think it's balanced now and I don't think people are happy with it. Damn that traffic jam, how I....

I still think addiction is a useful metaphor.

I usually drive my Accord wagon.

btw, did you know that Honda still makes the Accord Wagon? In Ohio! You can't buy one.

They export them to Europe and Japan. I believe the Accord is the #1 US car export.

Station wagons are really hot now - people tired of SUV handling and mini-van looks - so I expect Honda will sell the next gen wagon in the US.
