Hey semi-centurian Polvito Does Accutrade let you transfer IRA's that contain calls? What are their restrictions in IRA's regarding options? Have you checked out those particulars? One of the advantages of Fidelity is that they let you do ANYTHING in an IRA. But now that they have raised their margin maintenance requirements on QCOM and ELON, I may just have to give that WhoreHouse their walking papers with respect to my taxable account. The bottom line is that Fido (woof! woof!) is just another House with banditos in blue suits. One of my brilliant porchmates recently PM'd me regarding my current need to sell QCOM-- "analysts are whores in gray suits" "brokers are order takers and conmen" Oh how true. john

Polvie- I just abandoned datek also. Switched out 2 accounts, due to lack of options trading, and just a general lack of ability to communicate with them. It also, sometimes, took 2 weeks for a checked mailed to them to show up in my account. I switched to Freeman/Welwood, they probably aren't known all that well across he nation. A NW regional brokerage, they are doing a good job, I've had an account there for 15 years. When you call, the phone is answered by a broker, usually immediately. Happy Belated Birthday. Scott
