John, no way is Cisco's PE declining. End 97 it was about 50. End 98 about 90. Now about 200. Big Charts doesn't copy and paste too well with the same parameters, so you have to plug them in: Symbol CSCO, time 3 years, lower indicator P/E ratio.

Re Intel not being a cyclical stock, were they ever, at least in the last 4 years? I think the cyclicality in the semi biz applies to DRAM and semi equip, or at least a big part of it. Intel has very little competition, especially in the high margin area of servers, which won't stop or even pause because of the Internet explosion. If they get their communications chips profitable, look out. Oh, desktop is not too shabby either!
