Papi -

- Velocity is not well engineered as a piece of software. If you have a memory monitor (RSRCMTR - resource meter - is a Windows utility you can use), check your memory, load up Velocity, shut down Velocity, re-check your memory. You'll see just by starting & shutting down Velocity, you've lost some memory. Obviously you don't sit at your machine loading and shutting down Velocity all day long but nonetheless, at some point, this will lead to Velocity crashing your machine. Its also reflective of a rather sloppy programming effort as the solution to this type of problem has been known for several years now.

- Velocity offers no protection when Schwab goes down as when they go down, all electronic channels are effected.

- If Schwab truly believed Velocity was a 'good thing', why did they just invest 1/2 billion in CyberCorp who has a far superior product, CyberX? IMO, this acquisition was a de facto acknowledgement by Schwab that Velocity just doesn't cut it. CyberCorp has a few thousand customers and I don't think Schwab spent 1/2 billion for them!! They bought the technology because they knew they lacked the staff/management to build it themselves.

I'm sure there are some other folks who use Velocity religiously and can tell you its good points. I just can't find them at this point.
