Dale, with due respect, it sounds as though you could use some better information on the market maker system. MMs are charged with maintaining liquidity in the market, not with "controlling price." They sometimes trade for their own accounts, but generally bid or offer on behalf of real customers, whether wholesale or retail. The only thing that will attract additional MMs to a stock is the promise of business - i.e., volume - which may increase in ROVC now that the E is gone.

I think your other statement is exactly backwards. Many more people, on SI and elsewhere, who "think" they know all about the markets tend to blame everything on the MMs rather than focusing on who is buying or selling (or even pumping or dumping) the stock. Even some respected and oft-bookmarked posters really don't understand that.
