RE:"Funny how paul and sisters consider the 67 point rise in iNtEl greater than the 40 point runup in AMD.

You would think they would catch on to how stupid they look demonstrating their remedial math......but their posts continue...
LMAO"...

What's really funny is how eager they are to join Paul at the funny farm. What really got Paul going was when I called him a ROOKIE 4 months ago.... Hey, I was just trying to get the guy an identity since he was suffing from being called "Idiot" from the 25 thousand e-mails he got from Terje Osberg <G>

Steve, <Try to remember demand exceeds supply.>

While you and your butt-slapping pals are ridiculing this story, perhaps you can tell me why Sanders is projecting only 13 million Athlons for this year. Even if Sanders is sandbagging, don't you think Intel will be shipping more Coppermines this quarter alone?

And yet there seems to be ample supply of Athlons out there going for real cheap, even though the volumes are definitely much lower than Coppermines. Perhaps AMD has it all wrong, trying to target a retail market that is more interested in 500 MHz Celerons than 800 MHz Athlons. What can you expect from a company that has yet to penetrate the high-volume business markets?

<Funny how paul and sisters consider the 67 point rise in iNtEl greater than the 40 point runup in AMD.>

Funny, I didn't see Jim telling everyone that he bought AMD at the same time that he sold INTC. Maybe he should have bought "RAMBUST" instead, which is now up over 300%. <VBG>

st%v&e - Our little Si Den Mother and Dell Web Site Sniffer !!

Re: "I don't think too many people will be posting trades any more, since Paul keeps such close track of the ones that suit his twisted agenda. "

Thanks for showing us how LAZY and IGNORANT you are !!!!

That $67 run-up in Intel occurred since Bam Bam dumped Intel on November 12 - when AMD was at $26 5/8.

So, Intel is UP $67 while AMD is up only $29.

Quit sniffing around the south end of your north bound dog and get your facts straight.

Paul

>>Funny how paul and sisters consider the 67 point rise in iNtEl greater than the 40 point runup in AMD.<<

Steve-

Not greater, just normal. That is the difference. Whereas 40 point rises have been non-existent for AMD until now, 67 point rises over 6 months happen frequently for Intel.
Having said that, AMD could certainly be in for a continued nice run if earnings continue for a couple quarters.

Regards,
Frank

Re: Funny how paul and sisters consider the 67 point rise in iNtEl greater than the 40 point runup in AMD.

Let me explain this to you. When your basis is $4 a share, a $67 move is a 1,675% gain on your investment. A $67 gain makes a 20 bagger turn into a 35 bagger.

When your basis is pennies a share, like Paul's is, you need exponential notation to describe your gain.

When you get a 20 bagger in AMD, come back and talk some more smack.

Stevie, re: ...demonstrating their remedial math...

Even compulsive losers in Vegas occasionally hit, only to let their winnings trickle through their fingers.

Its really a question of potential gain vs risk. Sure, AMD may have a high potential gain (which has realized over the last month or so), but it has a high attendant risk. This fact has been demonstrated over years.

My belief, also born out over many years, is that Intel has the sweet spot in growth vs risk.
