With trepidation, I reveal that it was I, arguing against the view of the fetus as a parasite. It is exhausting, and sometimes life- threatening to be pregnant, but it is also true that there are beneficial effects on the mother, and that there is a physiological basis for the "maternal glow". Unfortunately, I cannot recite the benefits off the top of my head. Anyway, the idea is not barefoot- in- the- kitcheny (my wife is an executive), but against treating the infant as if it were a tick or canker.........

Pregancy, though natural, is not healthy for women. Childless nuns have super lifespans and are very healthy- so pregnancy is something you do because you want children, it isn't something you do for your health, duh. Now NURSING gives cancer protection- so whoever the weenie was who wrote the "all woman should get pregnant for their health" post- I HOPE he is a proud advocate of constant nursing for women's health. Probably not though. Most people hold contradictory opinions without realizing it because they speak mostly with their feet firmly in their mouths.

Rambi...LoL! _He actually used the word, "THRIVE"...!

[as in the dog food]!!

That's probably what hooked you!

If I fell out of my chair every time I read a Neodictum, I'd be in the cellar by now, having worn a whole through the floor...

Thanks for sharing your personal experience...The Truth speaks volumes!

Then you were once a "parasite" too, no? Yogi
