I can see the DOJ wanting to settle but what about ALL of the STATES. It is easy to imagine there would be one or two hold outs that would not want to go along with a settlement deal because.........they just don't want to settle!!
That is my biggest concern right now.

There could be state AGs that just want to get a negative ruling to make it easier for private lawsuits.

I just hope that if there are any of these types of AGs, there would be sufficient peer pressure from the others to facilitate a deal.

If we don't have any AGs who want to see a ruling, then a deal is going to happen, IMHO.

BTW--I realize the State Attorney Generals are politicians. That is a good thing. It will probably keep them from opting for a court verdict and settle if terms are acceptable.
