That was Univ of Indiana. And the only reason it stopped at 60% is that they blocked access to the Napster site. Otherwise, it was projected to go to 80% in 2 weeks. Anyway, The Napster craze might fizzle fast, but video players will probably be a big demand driver.

I am trying to figure out whether WDC and the other DD stocks are setting up to repeat their rise of January 1999. WDC rose from $8/share to $20 with hardly any actual news. This time it seems the positive factors are much more evident (increased demand, reduced capacity). That time the rally was killed by excess inventory and cut-throat competition.

Every quarter the DD stocks rise ahead of their reports, then sink to new lows. But I have the strong feeling that it will be different this time. They'll rise ahead of the report. Then double from there.
