Mike, I still think the SEC is a toothless tiger. When they finally go chin to chin with an Intel or an IBM scamming their eps, then I may have some respect for them.

David Tice's organization turns out an excellent research piece every month, but it is expensive for the average investor.

I too see this move as long overdue. It is definitely going to bring down a squadron of high fliers. I recall doing an issue last year in which I examined a lengthy list of accounting tricks companies employ to jazz up the numbers. It is going to be a delight to watch the squirming once this new set of standards starts to have impact. Hello Lou Gerstner, Carley, Waite, etc.
