Well, M is almost 7 we think! But if he had a stroke or died, I think I'd have a mini-nervous breakdown. As my hubby says, Mephisto is an extraordinary cat!

You need to take your dog to a vet that specializes in dermatology.

Cats can have skin problems. So far, M has missed that one. Still, he has an upper-respiratory problem that he's had since we rescued him when he was abandoned and got sick on our back deck. He would have died if I hadn't taken him to the animal hospital. They put him on IV antibiotics etc. for a couple of days. I give him 2mg of anti-histamine every night. When his coughs and sneezes get the better of him, we put him on cortisone.

It's a good thing that I am a "NEW ECONOMY" shareholder and trader!

Hooray for the NASDAQ! I can keep my cat alive!

Dear JCJ: There is a chance that your dog has a food allergy. Is ground corn listed as an ingredient in what you are feeding him/her right now? How about wheat? Just like humans, pets can have allergies to one of these two grins.

Here are a few sites for natural pet foods that also provide some useful information. Unlike most of the big name pet food manufacturers, they only use ingredients we humans eat and preservatives approved for human consumption:

naturapet.com

regalpetfoods.com

happypaw.com

Here is a pet store that features hypo-allergenic pet foods. The pictures of the brands might be of use:

plymouth48170.com

I got a sample then bag from this company two years ago for my cat:

essenceofthings.com

He **loved** it, his coat and skin condition improved remarkedly _but_ the kibble was too small for him [given he is prone to tarter] so I found another food with LARGE kibble he has no choice but to chew.

Good luck.

Regards,

Lynn
