"hair shaved and painted orange" yes, you have to get their attention.......an old burlesque routine, and then you tease them with the "product". If your # two you better show something more than just quality!

Fred,

Your comments on Steve Adams should be held until after you see what Novell has to announce and present. I know for a fact that Steve Adams, Dave Shirk, and their combined teams have done exactly what you are accusing them of not doing.

Over the past several months they have sat down with both Novell and non-Novell customer accounts and they have listened. I was quite impressed at what they have come up with. Two thumbs up from my opinion Steve! I will let Steve and team tell you and the rest of the world what they have come up with next week at Brainshare.

You will find out that they have listened.

This is not an insult Fred, but there are others in the world business community for Novell to sit down and listen to in addition to yourself, me, and others on this board. In fact, I am quite certain that you have been heard via this board.

I think you will like what Novell has in store next week.

Cheers!

Toy

Hello Frederick,

So Frederick, I'm sure that if Steve was reading this ... or one of his people did ... they would be trying to determine exactly what would come out of such a call.

I'm sure that we all understand that you would like to talk to Steve, and probably bend his ear for quite a while ... but what *would* you say?

If I were Steve, and had a limited amount of time to spend talking with people, I would probably want a good written plan ... a document ... a business plan ... some thing that would outline, with supporting evidence, a strategy.

I noticed that when Paul posted, he put together a very organized letter with a range of suggestions ... do you have something like this you can post here? I'm thinking that if you were to post here - openly, to the community, taking risks - that Steve and his people might recognize that value that you have to contribute. And here I don't refer to the posts that you have been making with the general vision ... but instead, I'm sure they are looking for detailed step-by-step direction ...

I have a feeling that one reason that they are hesitant to call is that "general statements" don't do them much good ... specific, direct, step-by-step plans are what would provide them value ... IMHO.
