Good heavens, X, I was referring to Christy Brown, the Irish novelist and poet who wrote Down All the Days and My Left Foot, the latter of which was made into a film. He was born severely physically impaired with cerebral palsy.

I simply meant that it is one thing for us on the thread to discuss issues such as quality of life--you obviously have more personal insight than most of us possibly could--but I cannot help wondering what the people who actually have to deal with quality-of-life issues would say if they were on the thread.
