I agree that this is a possible explanation but not the only one. Assume however for a moment that you are correct. AMD is dropping prices like a rock with their predatory pricing war and they still haven't maxed out Fab25. Doesn't that concern you?

EP,

Maybe....if I knew the fab's exact capacity and if AMD had contacted me last fall and had told me their Fab 25, year 2000 game plan and now are reporting that they have fallen far short of their Q1 goals for that game plan.

Even then I still get the impression that AMD is executing well and therefore don't feel the need to be concerned.

The Conundrum I love is this:

AMDroids universally agree that AMD can sell everything they make.

So if Dregs-den and Thump-a-twirp are raring to go, then CRANK THEM UP and START SHIPPING AND SELLING THEM !!!

Why don't the 'droids address this paradoxical situation ?
