Land, sorry to hear about those puts, the forces really kept this as high as possible to the last minute, I thought they would be quite happy with $120 or so, and by the last week of the count, I thought they may actually move toward the $100 mark. It turned out that the scenario play was an excellent one on the bull side (and I left a bundle on the table myself), but the put side may have to wait a little longer, and that is the problem with puts, they lose time value quite rapidly.

In any event, MU did not wait any extra day, as the scenario suggested, and they are doing the forced conversion between here and the end of the month. Of course, most will convert, will they sell? Yes, but even with the two big guys selling their shares, I think we will have only some 13 MM shares or so coming on the market, not too difficult to absorb, if the "powers" decide to "reiterate" few more times.

LL, depending where on the earnings curve we are, the convert conversion will likely be accretive to basic earnings/shr. The shares converted will add $4.72 to earnings/year for each share converted. ($35mm interest expense / 7.414mm shs). You can do the math curve to see how it trades off.
