No, I don't see it as a "Democratic political play." And I think "in its discretion must" is an oxymoron.

But that's JMHO, and not a legal opinion.

You understand that you don't have any kind of grasp as to what this Microsoft/antitrust stuff is all about, besides MSFT has made you money and has some inalianable right (somehow) to continue making you money. --- You're a model citizen nihil. The good news (IMO) is that you're in the minority. You're nearly as out of step as George W Bush himself. -JCJ

>Microsoft prosecution is a Democratic political play<

Now you really have made a fool of yourself, I mean besides your loss in not buying SUNW. Don't you realize that one of the ring leaders in this matter is Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah. Let me assure you he is no Democrat?

Novell and Caldera are both HQed in Utah and do have a small stake in this matter.

nihil, why would you say something so silly:

that the Microsoft prosecution is a Democratic political play

Microsoft puts products on the market that are unreliable. MSFT forces PC manufacturers to use their products, according to Judge Jackson.

The public has a right to choose software for their PC. And, the public has a right to expect a company to release reliable software products that are compatible with other products on the market.

I agree that because of Bush's stupidity he would join the MSFT camp. If he does, he should be forced to type his own memos on Windows every day that he is in the White House.

Sincerely,

Mephisto
