Yes - Gates is already the modern day equivalent of the Rockefellers, Mellons, and Fords.

I just hope, as a neo-programmer, he can help clean up Microsoft's OS stability issues.

Nihil: am I mistaken or SHOULD IT BE 3.3% of Billy's shares instead?!!!! 22 million out of 930 million is closer to 3%?

>271 million shares (22.3% of the total common) in September 1997; and 930 million (14.3 of the total common) in September 99. Since then he has sold about 22.2 million shares which looks like a decline of about 33 per cent of his share in MSFT over the past 2 years or so.
