Binx, there are other interpretations of the Seagate deal. I did not see where it says that either Veritas, or the investment group buying Seagate's operating businesses will be taking over the SanDisk shares. In fact, the opposite seems more likely. Whoever ends up acquiring the SNDK shares will sell them in order to help pay for the transaction. If this is true, then it explains why the price of SNDK shares fell today -- in anticipation of more shares available on the market.

Does anyone have some comments or other interpretations?
